making pants ...

Okay, here we go again with the pants. It's always a project for me to try to either :
a. buy pants or
b. make pants.
Which is why I tend to wear mostly skirts and dresses, and why I told Victoria that I would make pants as my Fearless February project.

I have no hips, I have no butt.  So imagine my surprise  when I see that one of the websearches that landed someone on my page is "best fitting a** pants." Seriously. Do they even know me?

My Michael Kors Spring 2013 Collection inspiration continues with these pants:

Aren't these the cutest pants ever? I love the blocks of color,  the front yoke placement

The shiny sateen. SO amazing. I'm going to make them. As soon as my fabric comes in the mail! So I sure hope that I can get them done for my February challenge and for the Pattern Review  RTW contest!

  1. how do you figure out what the search terms are? I think you look great. I have the opposite problem - big rear, hips, thighs - that's why I wear skirts and dresses! I'll be looking forward to your version of these pants. g

  3. Great pants choice. That sateen is delish.
I have a similar figure. No hips or butt. I had good luck with Colette Clover, but am interested in trying another pattern. Definitely keep us posted about this pant.
Have fun and good luck. Looking forward to seeing what you make!

  5. Great pants - Can't wait to see how they turn out - I'm small hipped and flat bottomed as well. So I have to admit to some selfish interest in this project.

  10. With a similar sateen fabric, these pants should look stunning.

  11. I LOOOOOOOOVE those pants-- they are way cute! I want a pair! I'm with you-- I basically have a boy butt, so it's super annoying trying to fit pants. I'm determined to conquer them this year, though. :)
